Saddle options
Wabi bicycles are supplied with a traditional lightweight racing saddle, with leather
covering, available in Brown or Black. See picture below (see bottom view by running
cursor over the picture). Note the slits in the sit bone areas to relieve pressure and
absorb road shock.
We also offer a slightly wider saddle, with a bit more padding and elastomer inserts in
the base in the sit bone areas (see bottom view by running cursor over the picture). This
would be a good choice for anybody wanting a little more comfort for around town riding,
or riding in a more upright position.
And for the ladies, we offer the Womens' style, with a wider sit bone area.

assume saddle size
and softness (thumb
test) will determine
potential comfort. By
far the most
important aspect of
comfort is the shape
of the base of the
saddle (usually some
sort of plastic), and
the resilience of the
material. Shape
determines how it
interfaces with your
anatomy, and the
resilience of the
material is what will
absorb road shock.
Excess padding will
only absorb your
pedalling energy.

wider pelvic structures
than men, and so will
