People love their Wabi Classics. At (now)
well under 19 lbs, it's a bike that
combines the benefit of lighter
weight with the classic ride of
steel, at a price less than the
other basic steel bikes that
are out there. The secret?
The Wabi
Classic features
a hand built Reynolds 725
frame (not 4130 cro-moly,
or Reynolds 500 or 520),
along with a superb
component group. For
more details on the frame,
click
here.

All bearings are sealed- a
low maintenance relation-
ship is guaranteed. Just
keep air in the tires, and a
little lube on the chain. And ride.

Note that the bike is supplied with a
fixed cog only, but the flip- flop
style hubs allow a
freewheel
(can be purchased separately)
to be installed on the opposite side of the hub.

There are many other options in how to set your bike up as well. To see those options, and for ordering information, please see below.

" I looked at single
speeds at the bike
shops and nothing
could be found in a
quality steel frame
that even comes
close to the level
of workmanship at
this price point."

Steel is steel is steel, right? No. The type of tubing matters. Click here to connect to our blog, which has an
article on steel tubing. It can be confusing- hopefully this article (posted 12/1/09) will help fill in some gaps.
