Wabi Cycles is constantly working to update and improve its products
over time, and one of the things I have wanted to do is come up with a
way to prevent the rear axle nuts from chewing up the paint and even
the aluminum of the Lightning’s rear drop outs. I now have custom made
stainless washers for the rear hub axle nuts that prevent damage to the
rear drop outs from frequent wheel changes.
While these were designed for the Lightning (and are standard
equipment on the 2011 model), they will work with any slotted rear
drop, with any material, to protect the paint.
