|The updated Lightning has seen some changes- new
trimmer rear drop outs, with custom CNC stainless steel
washers, 2 bottle cage mounts, a new lighter stem, and
is now equipped with a lightweight bullhorn bar setup,
with a final weight of 15.1 lbs in the 55cm frame size. The
Lightning fixed gear bike has been well received by
customers and independent cycling reviewers alike.
It's an amazing bike to ride- the superlight, thin walled
tubing frame has the road feel almost like that of steel.
Unlike an aluminum fixed gear frame, there is a resiliency
to the frame that allows comfort along with low weight
(now close to 15 lbs) and high performance.
The Lightning is equipped with a complementary group of
components. All bearings are sealed- a low maintenance
relationship is guaranteed. Just keep air in the tires, and
a little lube on the chain. And ride.
Note that the bike is supplied with a fixed cog only, but
the flip- flop style hubs allow a freewheel to be installed
on the opposite side of the hub.
There are many other options in how to set your bike up
as well. Click on the "What's this" buttons to get more

"Now that the ice is off the roads I have been out on some
long training rides and what an unexpected pleasure! The
ride is plush compared to my race bike (carbon Trek), so
responsive yet stable. I'll be putting lots of miles on this
one, perfect for Gran Fondo training.
Thanks again for making such a great bike."
